Does the job
It is cheaply made. The bottom piece to guard the motor popped up and floats in the solution. But it still works and creates HOCl. I could return it but since it's working, I will keep it.
A breakthrough cutting-edged titanium electrolysis technology that splits water into its components to allow formation of a new eco-friendly solution designed to kill a wide spectrum of viruses, bacteria and fungi upon contact.
This is an all-natural, environmentally safe sanitizing and disinfecting solution you can make at home with water and salt. Water is electrolyzed by cathode pure titanium electrode plate that ensures safe ionization for superior disinfecting performance. A natural compound of germicidal capacities similar to those found in our body to fight against invading viruses, germs and bacteria is produced.
The body's white blood cells generate HOCl (Hypochlorous Acid) with salt, water, and energy within our body. To replicate this concoction, the HOCl produced by the Titanium Electrolytic Disinfector is made with an electrically charged mixture of pure salt and water. After a few minutes of processing, the disinfecting sanitizing solution is produced from the reaction of combining titanium sparked electrolysis of water and salt to generate potent hypochlorous acid (HOCI) at a neutral pH for safe sterilization. This unit comes with the advanced ultra fine particle spray sprout that delivers a consistent mist and wider spread of surface to ensure even coverage throughout. Wastage is reduced and "empty spots" are minimized as compare to regular sprouts. Disinfection and sanitization occurs on contact.
Q: Does it have a scent?
A: There is a very light swimming pool scent that's naturally created when salt and water are electrolyzed by the sterilizer. The scent comes from the active ingredient, hypochlorous acid, the natural disinfectant compound our body's white blood cell makes to fight germs within. This is the same active ingredient commonly used in wound, eye & veterinary care products.
Q: Why does the cleaner only last 2 weeks?
A: All natural compounds degrade over time. For optimum performance, make a fresh batch every week or two. The degradation of potency is approximately 1 - 2 % per day. To keep the solution within the sprayer fresh, wrap the sprayer with aluminum foil so the solution is in dark environment.
Q: What kind of water should be used?
A: If you have hard water (> 100ppm), please use a water that is purified, distilled, or deionized water instead of hard tap water. The softer the water the better because minerals can interfere with this process. Use regular table salt that is 99% NaCL. Uniodized is preferred by not mandatory. Mineralized salt , such as sea salt or Himalayan salt, while good for cooking, can also be used but less effective. The purer the salt content, the better the results.
Q: What surfaces can I use it on?
A: Generally speaking, this disinfectant can be used with virtually all surfaces, including sealed stone such as granite, marble & quartz, laminate, stainless steel, grout, wood, tile, porcelain, plastic, glass, or rubber. Use the solution to reduce unwanted trash , diaper, or pet odor. Do not use on fabrics labeled "only non-chlorine bleach". For hard to remove scum, use a brush to pretreat prior to use. Always refer to the owner's manual of the particular surface and follow that for more definitive instructions.
